MANILA - Share prices hit another record high Friday despite trading lower earlier in the day due to jitters from North Korea's latest missile launch.

The PSE index made a last-minute recovery after trading in the red all day and hit 8,180, up 0.44 percent from yesterday's previous record high of 8,144.

Juanis Barredo, vice president of COL Financial Group, said investors apparently were no longer as concerned about tension on the Korean peninsula as before.

"People get used to certain types of news, and I guess that would be one of them," Barredo said.
