MANILA, Philippines - Local budget airline Cebu Pacific will fly its brand-new Airbus A330 aircraft in select flights to Cebu and Hong Kong from September 16 to October 4.
The 436-seater aircraft will be used on flights 5J 8553 and 5J 8580 between Manila and Cebu; and on flights 5J 118 and 5J 119 between Manila and Hong Kong.
“Our 2nd brand new Airbus A330 aircraft from France not only increases the number of seats available to Hong Kong and Cebu, but also features Airbus’ fuel-saving technology that allows us to keep our fares low,” said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing and distribution.
Starting October 7, Cebu Pacific will be utilizing the Airbus A330 aircraft on its first daily direct Manila-Dubai flights.
“Cebu Pacific’s expansion means more flight options and low fares available to our guests," Iyog.
The budget airline will also offer more flights between Iloilo and Hong Kong from September 24. Starting October, an additional 3 weekly flights will also be added between Cebu and Zamboanga.
More flights will also be offered from Manila to Dumaguete and Manila to Roxas, using a 156-seater Airbus A319 aircraft.
The 72-seater ATR aircraft used in the four weekly flights from Manila to Virac will also be upgraded to a 156-seater Airbus A319 aircraft.
"It is always rewarding for us when these additional flights and seats contribute to the tourism and trade in the destinations we fly to,” Iyog said.
