MANILA, Philippines - Budget carrier Cebu Pacific said it will cancel some of its flights from Manila to Tacloban for the rest of September.
This after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced that operations of the Daniel Romualdez Airport will be limited to Bombardier Dash 8, ATR 72-500 or lower category aircraft (turbo prop) operations from September 4 to December 3, 2014.
The following CEB flights utilizing an Airbus aircraft have been cancelled on these dates:
September 4 – 30, 2014
5J 651 / 652 Manila – Tacloban – Manila
5J 653 / 654 Manila – Tacloban – Manila
5J 659 / 660 Manila – Tacloban – Manila
Cebu Pacific said it is currently arranging additional flights to re-accommodate affected passengers.
Affected passengers may also avail any of the following options for free:
rebook their flight within 30 days from original departure date;
reroute their flights to the alternate station (Cebu) within 30 days from original departure date;
request for a full travel fund or full refund.
