MANILA, Philippines - The deadline for the submission of bids for the proposed P2.5 billion Integrated Transport System -Southwest Terminal is likely to be deferred.
Public Private Partnership Center executive director Cosette Canilao said the deadline of bids scheduled for September 29 would likely be postponed since the concession agreement has yet to be finalized.
She said the deadline for the bids would likely be moved to October, as the concession agreement will be issued on September 12.
The deadline was originally slated for August 30, but was re-scheduled to give interested companies more time to prepare.
Several companies are keen on the project which is located on a 2.9-hectare property at the Coastal Road Terminal along the Manila-Cavite Expressway. These include San Miguel Corp., Ayala group, Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., Robinsons Land, Megawide and Filinvest.
As for the ITS-South terminal, five companies attended the pre-bid conference -- SMC, Ayala, Filinvest, Megawide and Datem Construction.
The DOTC has given interested bidders until October 6 to submit bids to finance, design, construct, operate and maintain the ITS-South Terminal, located at the FTI complex.
