MANILA, Philippines - The Aboitiz group is still keen on bidding for the Mactan Cebu International Airport project despite the delays and the legal challenges.

Aboitiz Power CEO Erramon Aboitiz said they are just waiting for the terms of the concession agreement.

The project was supposed to be bid out today but government postponed it saying they have yet to finish the terms of the contract.

Also earlier, a lawyer from Bulacan sought a TRO against the bidding, arguing the DOTC's one-on-one meetings with prequalified bidders are illegal.

Bidders include 7 of the country's largest conglomerates that partnered with operators of world-class airports like Changi and Incheon.

The Aboitiz and Ayala together with US-based ADC are partners for the bid.
