MANILA, Philippines - The P200 domestic terminal fee is now included in airline tickets starting today (August 1).
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said it has integrated the domestic terminal fee in airline tickets purchased on the internet, airline ticket offices and travel agents.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines clarified this will only cover airline tickets of passengers departing from NAIA terminals 2, 3 and 4.
Passengers departing from other airports will still have to line up and pay the corresponding terminal fee at the airport of origin.
Holders of airline tickets issued before August 1 will still pay the P200 at designated terminal fee counters at NAIA.
MIAA signed an agreement on the new domestic terminal fee collection scheme with 6 airlines Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Air Philippines, Seair, Sky Pasada and Zest Air.
The terminal fee goes to a fund for the maintenance, expansion and rehabilitation of local airports.
