SSS offers calamity package to Glenda-hit members

MANILA, Philippines – The Social Security System (SSS) is offering a calamity relief package to all its qualified members living in specified areas hit by Typhoon Glenda.

SSS said members living in the following areas where a state of calamity was declared may avail of loans and advanced pension payments under the package:

Obando, Bulacan; Ibaan, Batangas; Lemery, Batangas; Cavite; Malvar, Batangas; Laguna; Batangas City; Rizal; Taal, Batangas; Padre Garcia, Batangas; Laurel, Batangas; Cuenca, Batangas; San Nicolas, Batangas; Sta. Teresita, Batangas; Quezon Province; Camarines Sur; Tigaon, Camarines Sur; Albay; Bula, Camarines Sur; Naga City; Samar; and Muntinlupa City.

SSS will begin accepting applications for the calamity package starting Friday, August 1.

The deadline of submission of applications is on October 31 except for the Direct House Repair and Improvement Loan, which is one year after the issuance of its corresponding SSS circular.
