Nissan Philippines names new president

MANILA, Philippines - Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) has named Antonio Zara as the company's new president and managing director.

The Filipino executive is currently managing director for international sales of General Motors Korea. He will officially take on the post after NPI's board of directors meeting in August.

Zara has extensive experience in automotive sales, service, and marketing to Nissan Philippines. He has previously worked in multiple markets across Asia, including Korea, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Kenji Naito, current President and Managing Director of NPI, will be appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Management, Nissan Motor Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (NMAP) in Bangkok, effective August 1. He was appointed to his current role in December 2013.
