MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday asked Congress to pass a law that will stop the courts from "messing up" government projects with restraining orders.
Duterte said temporary restraining orders are the "bane of our efficiency," adding the country's biggest businessmen have sparred in court over them.
The President is rolling out a P8-trillion plan to build new infrastructure to sustain economic growth momentum.
"TRO has been the bane of projects. Tapos yung TRO na yan would delay the projects," he said.
"I am asking Congress, find me a law na kung may bidding naman at it was regular dapat ang korte or somebody else should not be messing it up because it will delay the project which has been the case in the provinces," he said.
