Manila Water says complaints vs payment center settled

MANILA, Philippines – Manila Water Co. Inc. said the complaints lodged against the Expresspay branch in Barangay Wawa, Taguig have already been settled by its accredited payment center ECPay.

ECPay is the accredited payment center of Manila Water that subcontracted Expresspay.

Manila Water spokesman Jeric Sevilla said the water utility asked ECPay to settle the bills of the complainants.

Sevilla said that Expressway shouldn’t have used Manila Water’s logo on their branches and website because Expresspay does not have an agreement with Manila Water.

Expresspay’s dealings are only with ECPay, noted Sevilla.

Manila Water personnel, meanwhile, were ordered to check barangay records for those who have filed complaints against Expresspay.

Sevilla again reminded consumers to only make payments at accredited payment centers that are identified on the envelope of their monthly bill.
