Ayala malls to open at 1 p.m.
MANILA, Philippines - All SM malls in Metro Manila opened for business on Wednesday, despite strong rains and winds brought by typhoon "Glenda."
In a statement, SM Supermalls said many of its malls around the country has served as shelter for hundreds of people since Tuesday night.
"While we remain at alert level and assure safety precautions have been undertaken, we will open to serve the public as usual," SM Supermalls said.
Meanwhile, Ayala Malls announced its shopping centers will open at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, saying the "safety of our customers and tenants is our utmost concern."
Ayala Malls include Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, Market Market, Bonifacio High Street, TriNoma, MarQuee Mall, Solenad, Harbor Point, UP Town Center, Fairview Terraces, The District Cavite, The District Dasmarinas.
However, Landmark Supermarket and Mercury Drug at TriNoma opened as scheduled. At Glorietta, the supermarkets, Rustan's and Mercury Drug also opened as scheduled.
