MANILA – More advertisements featuring the country’s top tourist destinations will be released in the coming months, the Department of Tourism (DOT) said.
The ads, which focus on specific tourist spots, make up the new phase of the tourism department’s “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign.
Four 30-second ads featuring Boracay, Davao, Manila, and Cebu have been released on social media and aired over international TV networks, including CNN and BBC.
Tourism Sec. Ramon Jimenez said the promotional campaign and marketing efforts are now focused on specific destinations that are packaged as its own “brand.”
“It is not only because of their wide variety of product offerings, but because of the unique experiences that these destinations could offer,” Jimenez said.
“What will truly sustain our More Fun campaign are the people themselves—from the industry frontliners to the host communities, local governments, businesses, and citizens who are behind every satisfied customer and every pleasant experience,” he added.
Jimenez also said the tourist destinations have a big role in spreading the nation’s messages and enticing foreigners to visit the Philippines.
Print ad versions of the four locations have appeared in German publications, the UK Sunday Times Travel, Action Dive, and out-of-home ads in subway stations in Korea.
