MANILA - For Insular Life's first female chief executive officer, Nina Aguas, an ideal boss is someone who knows how to motivate.
Aguas, who has 30 years of banking experience, including stints overseas, recently got out of retirement.
"I think a boss is a cheerleader. I think a boss is like a mentor. I'd like to be friends with them actually," Aguas said.
"I know it's presumptuous to say that I'm giving back because I've had the opportunity and the blessings to have worked overseas and not everybody gets that good fortune. Whatever I know and whatever I like to learn, I'd like to be able to share it," said Aguas.
The mother of 5 credits her husband, Mario, for her professional and personal victories.
