Philippine markets closed for Independence Day

MANILA - Philippine financial markets are closed today, June 12, which has been declared a holiday to celebrate the country's independence day.

Markets will reopen on June 13.

On Monday, the stock market's main index closed higher at 1.64 percent, while the peso closed at 42.92 per dollar, firmer than Friday's close of 43.27 per dollar.
