MANILA, Philippines – Seafood supplier Alliance Select Foods International Inc. has filed a criminal complaint against two of its Singaporean directors for allegedly “revealing secrets with abuse of office.”
In a disclosure to Philippine stock exchange on Wednesday, the company said the complaint was filed against two minority shareholders Hedy Yap Chua and Albert Hong Hin Kay.
“The Company has reasonable cause to believe that Yap-Chua and Hong, in breach of their fiduciary duty to the company, revealed information relating to the Company's financials given to them in confidence,” the firm said.
The company’s president and chief executive officer Jonathan Dee serves as complainant.
No other details were given.
Earlier, the two Singaporean directors filed separate cases against the majority shareholders of Alliance Select Foods, led by Dee and chairman George Sycip, for allegedly blocking their access to the company’s financial records and for railroading the entry of new investor Strongoak, Inc.
