MANILA – Filipino and Russian firms have signed $875 million in business deals, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said Tuesday.

The amount is an “understatement” as some of the deals signed in two business fora did not disclose financial details, Lopez told ANC’s Market Edge with Cathy Yang.

The deals covered steel, property, manufacturing and energy, he said.

President Rodrigo Duterte cut short his trip to Russia last week due to fighting between government officials and Maute extremists in Marawi City.
