MANILA - Like all executives, Arthaland Corporation's Leo Po likes to unwind after a tiring day at work. But unlike others, Po prefers to relax by watching his aquariums.
"I like spending a few minutes each day watching my fish and relaxing. It soothes me and helps me to de-stress, after a long day of staring at my phone, computers screens, and documents," said Po.
The youngest scion of the Po family, which owns Century Pacific Food, is a fresh water aquarist, or someone who takes care of aquariums.
He says wild life have always intrigued him and that he grew up loving animals and pets, but he was particularly interested in aquatic life because 'it was the family business'.
"When I was little, I used to be drawn to aquariums. I had several of my own, when I was younger. I would take every opportunity to look at them. But as I grew up, I outgrew the hobby. I got older and more preoccupied with life," said Po.
But now, he has rekindled his childhood interest, sharing it with his kids. It has been three years since he got hooked.
"I have three fish tanks and I believe I will have more to come," he added.
