MANILA, Philippines - Bakers have promised to lower the price of Pinoy Pandesal on May 29.
Bakers are set to cut the price of a 10-piece pack of Pinoy Pandesal by P1.
Philbaking director Walter Co said the price cut is just a "goodwill" gesture for the public, even though flour millers have yet to bring down the price of flour.
If the price of a sack of flour is cut by P40, bakers said they can lower the prices of regular pandesal and loaf break.
The price of a sack of flour remains at P880-P910, despite claims by local flour millers that they have lowered prices to P840-P870 per sack. - Report from Alvin Elchico, ABS-CBN News
