MANILA, Philippines - Two Philippine budget carriers are now offering P1 fares to local and international destinations.
Cebu Pacific is now holding a Labor Day seat sale for all Philippine and international destinations until May 2 or until seats last. Travel period is from June 1 to December 15, 2014.
Cebu Pacific said one-way ticket for domestic flights from Manila and Cebu would cost P335.52 including admin fee, 12% VAT and terminal fee. However, this does not include the fuel surcharge which ranges from P200 to P550 depending on the destination.
For international flights, Cebu Pacific said one-way fare would cost P121. However, this does not include the P550 terminal fee, P1,620 travel tax, country-specific taxes ranging from P430-P1,315 and fuel surcharge ranging from P910 to P5,005.
At the same time, AirAsia Zest is offering P1 base fare promo for its Philippine and international destinations until May 4. Travel period is from June 5 to April 30, 2015.
AirAsia said a one-way ticket from Manila to Cebu, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, and Tagbilaran would cost P537, including taxes and other fees.
For international flights, the fares would vary depending on the destination due to country-specific taxes and fuel surcharges.
A one-way AirAsia ticket from Manila to Seoul would cost P3049, while a one-way ticket from Manila to Kuala Lumpur would cost P1,779 and to Kota Kinabalu would cost P859.
A one-way ticket from Manila to Macau would cost P1,359, while a ticket to Shangai would cost P2,179.
