PANGLAO, Bohol - AirAsia is offering P1,990 promo fares to Bohol in a bid to boost tourism in one of the country's top tourist destinations.

Asia’s largest budget carrier said booking for the promo starts Tuesday, April 17 until Sunday, April 22. Travel period will be from Nov. 1, 2018 until May 31, 2019.

The promo comes as the airline renews its “Behold Bohol” tourism partnership with the provincial government. AirAsia has been the airline partner of Bohol for 3 years already.

Bohol Provincial Administrator Alfonso Damalerio III and AirAsia CEO Dexter Comendador signed the agreement on Tuesday.

“This will help Bohol not only in the area of tourism but also in business,” Damalerio said.

“Now we seek to take Bohol to new heights not only in the Philippines but also in the whole of ASEAN...” Comendador said.

Over 1.1 million tourists visited Bohol last year, the province’s tourism council said.

Bohol is known for the Chocolate Hills, the white sand beaches of Panglao Island, historic churches, and the tarsier, one of the world's smallest primates.
