MANILA (UPDATE) – Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank) said some of its branches nationwide will be open on Holy Thursday (April 17) and Black Saturday (April 19).
In an advisory, Metrobank said 38 branches will be open for three hours -- either from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 17.
On April 19, 36 branches will be open either from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Metrobank said its ATMs all over the country are available for cash withdrawals and for bills payment transactions.

Meanwhile, BDO Unibank Inc., Bank of the Philippine Islands and Philippine Savings Bank said branches will be closed from April 17, Thursday to April 20, Sunday in observance of the Holy Week.
BDO said its ATMs and online banking channels will operational for withdrawal transactions and other banking services.
BPI said the cut-off time to pay bills due April 17-20, 2014 using its e-channels is 10 p.m. April 16, 2014. Payments made beyond the cut-off time will be considered a transaction of the next banking day on April 21, Monday.
PSBank said more than 500 ATMs nationwide will remain operational for withdrawals, inquiries and other transactions during the Holy Week break.
