MANILA, Philippines - Property developer Megaworld Corp. is allocating P5 billion to build 10 office towers in its business park in Iloilo City.
In a statement, Megaworld said it is planning to construct 10 office towers, which will have a total of 100,000 square meters of office space, in Iloilo Business Park by 2021.
The office towers will mostly cater to companies in the Information Technology-Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) sector.
"Iloilo Business Park is positioned to be Western Visayas’ biggest cyberpark and a major hub for IT-BPO outside of Metro Manila. More and more BPO companies have already expressed strong interest to set up operations in Iloilo Business Park. Most of them are first-time locators," Jericho P. Go, first vice president at Megaworld, said.
Three office towers are set to open within the year, namely One Global Center, Two Global Center, and the Richmonde Tower.
Colorado-based StarTek, Inc., a leading BPO company, will be the first to set up operations in the Two Global Center tower by August.
