PAL Express flight to Dubai transfers to new airport

MANILA, Philippines - PAL Express flights to Dubai will be temporarily transferred to Al Maktoum International Airport starting May 1, as the runway of Dubai International Airport is being refurbished.

Flights 2P 658 and 2P 659 will land at the Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), located a short distance from the Marina residential complex and less than 45 minutes away from the Dubai
International Airport.

The airport is part of Dubai World Central, a multi-purpose complex located in Jebel Ali, south west of Dubai.

Arriving passengers at Al Maktoum can take a RTA bus to IBN Battuta Metro Station, which connects to Dubai's Metro Rail System.

PAL Express, using Airbus 330-300 aircraft, flies to Dubai five times a week -- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday with an additional Saturday departure starting March 30.

The schedule will also be slightly adjusted, with the flight leaving Manila at 1:05 p.m. and arrive at Al Maktoum International Airport at 6:05 p.m. The return flight departs Dubai at 8:30 p.m. and arrives Manila 9:40 a.m. the next day.

PAL Express said flight 2P 658 from Manila will resume landing at the Dubai International Airport on July 20, 2014.
