IMF team to assess PH economy this week
MANILA, Philippines - A team from the International Monetary Fund is set to visit the Philippines this week for its annual evaluation for the country's economy.
The review will take place between today and Wednesday and is expected to focus on reconstruction efforts after typhoon "Yolanda," the country's external accounts and efforts to make economic growth trickle down to the poor.
The IMF expects the Philippine economy to grow by 6.3% this year, slower than last year's 7.2%. - ANC
