MANILA - The Social Security System said it would release on Friday, the second of three months worth of retroactive pension increases.
The March 10 payout of P1,000 represents the February adjustment. A P1,000 increase withheld in January was given last week and a third payment, to cover March, will be given next week.
“Starting April, all regular pensioners, will receive the updated amount of their pension. This means that their regular monthly pension will automatically increase by P1,000,” SSS president and chief executive officer Emmanuel Dooc said.
