MANILA, Philippines - Tycoon Andrew Tan's tourism estate company Global Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI) is developing a new master-planned township called Southwoods City.
Southwoods City, a 561-hectare property in the boundary of Carmona, Cavite and Binan, Laguna, is being positioned as the next residential, business, commercial and leisure hub near Metro Manila.
Megaworld, GERI's sister company, will be in charge of the design, conceptualization, and masterplan of Southwoods City.
"We are allocating P10 billion in the next 10 years to build this new township," Rachelle Peñaflorida, vice president for sales and marketing, Megaworld Global-Estate, Inc., said.
Southwoods City will have a central business district, malls, schools, church, a cyberpark, a medical facility, open parks, a weekend market, and its own transport hub.
The company is introducing a 26-hectare residential village Pahara, located inside Southwoods City. The village will have 602 available lots ranging from 239 square meters to 523 square meters.
