Petron names new president
MANILA, Philippines - Petron Corp. on Tuesday named Lubin B. Nepomuceno as its new president.
Nepomuceno replaces Eric O. Recto, who resigned. Recto, who has been president since October 7, 2008, will still be part of the board after he was elected in the newly created position of vice chairman.
Nepomuceno has been senior vice president and general manager of Petron Corp since July 12, 2010. He has previously served general manager and head of the company's supply, operations and refinery.
Nepomuceno has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the De la Salle University.
Nepomuceno was also elected as director and member of Petron's executive and compensation committees. He will serve as director for the remaining portion of the term of Ferdinand K. Constantino, who resigned as director. Constantino was appointed as advisor to the compensation and audit committees.
