MANILA, Philippines - Megawide Construction says it wants to operate the Philippine Orthopedic Center in Quezon City, less than a year after bagging a government PPP contract to build public school classrooms.

The state-owned hospital is up for bidding next month.

Megawide's core business is in construction, being a major contractor of Henry Sy's condominium projects.

But Megawide says it's in talks with foreign and local companies to help it operate the hospital if it wins the 25-year PPP contract. - ANC
