Oil companies hike pump prices

MANILA (UPDATED) -- A number of oil companies have increased prices of regular and premium gas, diesel and kerosene products effective 6:00 a.m. on April 30, Tuesday.

Petron Corp. raised prices of gasoline by P0.50 per liter; diesel by P0.40 per liter; and kerosene by P0.25 per liter.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., meanwhile, increased prices of its gasoline by P0.50 per liter; diesel by P0.40 per liter; and kerosene by P0.25 per liter.

Chevron Philippines for its part hiked prices of its Gold and Silver products by P0.50 per liter; diesel by P0.40 per liter; and kerosene by P0.25 per liter.

Flying V also raised prices of its Rush, Thunder, Leadfree (Volt) and regular gas by P0.50 per liter; biodiesel by P0.40 per liter; and kerosene by P0.25 per liter.

Total, meanwhile, raised its  Premier and Protec Gasoline prices by P0.50 per liter, and diesel by P.040 per liter.

The adjustment in pump prices reflects the movement of rates in the international oil market, the companies said.
