Oil firms hike fuel prices

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – Oil firms Pilipinas Shell, Eastern Petroleum and Phoenix Petroleum announced on Monday a price hike that will be effective on Tuesday, February 4 at 6 a.m.

Shell said prices of its gasoline products will increase by P0.10 per liter.

Its kerosene and diesel products will go up by P0.30 per liter and P0.25 per liter, respectively.

Phoenix Petroleum, meanwhile, said prices of its gasoline will go up by P0.10 per liter while diesel will increase by P0.25 per liter.

Eastern Petroleum said prices of its gasoline products will also increase by P0.10 per liter while diesel products will go up by P0.30 per liter to reflect the movement in international prices. -- Report from Alvin Elchico, ABS-CBN News
