MANILA - Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings Inc., the hospital arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corp., said Tuesday it agreed to infuse P133.5 million into Delgado Clinic Inc., the owner and operator of Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital.
The cash infusion will be made via a subscription to preferred shares representing approximately 65 percent of the total expanded capital stock of Delgado Clinic, Metro Pacific told the stock exchange.
The cash infusion will allow Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital to upgrade its equipment and facilities, it added.
The Delgado hospital becomes Metro Pacific's eighth hospital in Metro Manila, joining Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Manila Doctors Hospital, De Los Santos Medical Center, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and Marikina Valley Medical Center.
Metro Pacific also have five provincial hospitals in Davao, Bacolod, Tarlac, Zamboanga, and Bulacan.
Metro Pacific shares were up 2.56 percent to P6.82 on Tuesday.
