MANILA, Philippines - The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) will look into reports that mobile phone users of rival telcos Globe Telecom and Sun Cellular have experienced delays in receiving text messages.
NTC director Edgardo Cabarios said they will verify the reported complaints from Globe and Sun subscribers.
He said the NTC will make sure telco subscribers are not suffering from poor service such as delays in delivery of text messages and calls.
Last week, Globe denied there were delays in delivery of SMS to and from Sun Cellular due to its congested network. Globe is almost finished with its $700 million network upgrade and transformation project.
Sun Cellular also denied the problem originated from its network, saying it has more than enough network capacity for its subscribers.
