MANILA, Philippines – Vista Land’s flagship project in the Visayas, Savannah City, is set to host this year’s “2nd Light of Peace,” an event which calls for an end to violence and international conflicts.

At least 100,000 participants are also aiming to establish a world record for the biggest simultaneous candle lighting event.

The event will be held in the Savannah City commercial area in Iloilo in April 2014.

A memorandum of understanding was signed on Tuesday by the organizers, including former senator and chairman of the Villar Group of Companies Manny Villar, Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, Archbishop Angel Lagdameo of the Archdiocese of Jaro, and Venerable Dr. Varapanyo Bhikku (Middle Way Meditation Institute).
