NANILA - Bank of the Philippine Islands said Tuesday it partnered with a Middle East foreign exchange and remittance firm to better serve Filipinos in the region.

Under its collaboration with Lulu Exchange, BPI said Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the Seychelles will be able to transfer funds directly to any BPI or BPI Family Savings account.

BPI said remittances could be withdrawn from any of its 3,000 ATMs free of charge.

"Our priority is to ensure the convenience of OFWs in sending remittances wherever they are in the world, while giving beneficiaries a seamless and secure way of receiving money," said BPI excutive vice president Simon Paterno.
