Napocor announces more water release from dams

MANILA - The National Power Corporation (Napocor) announced Wednesday night it will release more water from the Angat, San Roque and Pantabangan Dams on Thursday.
The dam spilling operations will begin at 6:00 a.m. at the Angat Dam in Bulacan.
Residents of towns of Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan and Plaridel have been asked to prepare for the release of water.
An hour later, at 7:00 a.m., water will also be released from Pantabangan Dam in Nueva Ecija.
Areas that will be affected are Rizal, Bongabon, Palayan City, Cabanatuan, Sta. Rosa, San Isidro, Cabiao, San Antonio, Jaen and Bayambang, as well as Arayat, Lubao and Candaba in Pampanga.
Napocor will also release excess water from San Roque Dam in San Manuel, Pangasinan at noon.
The towns of San Manuel, San Nicolas, Tayug, Santa Maria, Asingan, Villasis, Alcala, Bautista, Rosales and Bayambang will be affected. ABS-CBN News Channel
