MANILA – Concentrix Philippines has always stood by the communities it works in. Thus, it recently launched a donation drive to help displaced families from war-torn Marawi City in Mindanao. The swift and generous response from its staff enabled the company to raise P1 million to help the community.
The company’s contributions and donations from its employees will help provide critical basic items such as food, water and clothing to the affected families in Marawi.
Staff volunteers from Concentrix Cagayan de Oro site have already used part of the donation to purchase hygiene kits for the wounded soldiers at Camp Evangelista who fought in Marawi. These soldier kits contained shirts, socks, toiletries, packed meals and food items to help our heroes in the war-torn area.
Aside from this, Concentrix CDO volunteers will conduct feeding program, story-telling and literacy sessions for the children in the affected areas until they can go back to school.
Concentrix Philippines also donated P200,000 to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to help the children of Marawi. UNICEF’s utmost priority is to deliver essential, life-saving aid to children and families as well as provide clean water, sanitation, food, shelter, and medical care, among others.
Concentrix, as part of its CSR efforts, has put importance to education, welfare of children and environment. The company has previously implemented events such as school refurbishing, coastal clean-up, computer donation to schools, in line with these pillars.
