Citizens used the internet to collate calls for rescue from people trapped in the flooding from the storm-enhanced southwest monsoon that dumped heavy rains on Metro Manila and other Luzon areas since late Sunday night.

They produced a list of people who needed rescuing, and a map showing where these people were. These were made available to the public who themselves could input into a document the details about the person they wanted to help.

Also visible at, the information here are updated by citizens to reflect authorities’ rescue efforts on the ground.

The list and the map were initiated by Ros Juan, JP Loh, Andre Jay Marcelo-Tanner, Arnold Gamboa and Aileen Apolo.
