MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Panfilo Lacson on Monday said President Aquino has not offered him the position of secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government once his Senate term ends in 2013.
Nonetheless, he said: "If an offer is made, if I get appointed, I would thank the President."
“If I'm not appointed, I would also thank him for giving me a peaceful life after the Senate,” he added.
Lacson and Senator Francis Pangilinan will supposedly get Cabinet posts after they finish their terms in the Senate.
Pangilinan is allegedly poised to take over the Department of Agriculture, reports said.
